Your Love Story…

Jamie and I met at the Normanby Hotel, Brisbane in 2011. We both moved to Mackay for my teaching job and fell in love with Airlie Beach while we were there. Jamie proposed on New Year’s Eve 2015, whilst we were holidaying in Melbourne.

Destination Wedding…

Having a close family, it was really important to us to make our wedding day about our family as well as our marriage. By having a destination wedding it allowed all the people who mean the most to us to have a holiday also. Everyone was extremely relaxed and the “wedding stress” didn’t exist. It also gave us a chance to show our favourite piece of paradise with our nearest and dearest who were mostly from Brisbane.

Wedding Week…

We spent the majority of the 7 days hanging out at the Coral Sea resort, where our family stayed with us. The view from the pool was magical and we didn’t need to venture out!

Whitsunday Wedding Venue…

We chose Coral Sea purely for the world class view that can be seen from the ceremony lawn. It was breathtaking!

Wedding Day Vision…

Cocktail or Sit-down…

We had 70 guests for a sit down meal. We chose to limit our guests so we had a chance to mingle with everyone and enjoy the day!

Splurge Vs Save

We splurged on the venue and accommodation and saved on music by creating our own playlists using Spotify, limiting our guest numbers, recording our own ceremony and DIY invitations.
