A little more about what we do and who we are...

Weddings Whitsundays is a not-for-profit organisation run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about the industry and determined to see the Whitsundays as Australia’s first choice for destination weddings. You can find out more about the current members of our committee and who best to contact should you have a specific enquiry relating to our organisation and services.

Our shop window is this web directory: the number one Google site for weddings in the region and the first port of call for anyone wanting to research getting married in the Whitsundays. Help us showcase this region as the ultimate place to get married by promoting to brides and grooms the multitude of business’ dedicated to weddings.

We would like to encourage every local business, tour operator, accommodation house and small business to think of themselves as a direct beneficiary of the wedding industry and join the premier Whitsunday Wedding Directory.

You can be assured that as a not-for-profit organisation all funds are put back into the organisation to further marketing efforts to improve website performance and presence in major search engines and to raise consumer awareness as the Whitsundays as the ultimate destination wedding venue and the Wedding Heart of Australia.

The current committee consists of;

Lauriely Taylor // Loll Doll Makeup

Debbie Savy // Tropix Photography

Hannah Fuzier // Earlando

Annie Lloyd Lewis // I Do Whitsunday Weddings

Vanessa Dale // Fancy Photos

Lauriely Taylor | Loll Doll Makeup

Lauriely Taylor originally left New Zealand in 1998 in order to pursue her love of travelling.  Venturing through Canada, Europe and the Middle East, it was in Dahab, Egypt where she learned to become a Dive Instructor.  During this period Lauriely met her future husband Rob Taylor, who was also a Dive Instructor.  Eventually we deciding to settle down together, their mutual love for the warm climate, scuba diving and outdoor lifestyle Airlie Beach became the destination of choice.

Lauriely has established herself in the wedding industry as a professional make-up artist and advocate for the Weddings Whitsundays organisation.  Specialising in air brush wedding make up and offering a range of make up workshops, which have become a popular choice for hens parties. | 0415 987 842

Deb Savy | Tropix Photography

Debbie Savy was one of the founding members of WeddingsWhitsundays.Com.  In 2003 Debbie and her husband Shane (who were living in Sydney) decided on a destination wedding in the Whitsundays.  The following year, they relocated their family to the Whitsundays and bought Tropix Photography (the photography business that they had chosen to photograph their wedding).

It was challenging organising a wedding in the Whitsundays from out of town, they relied on a copy of the phone book and advice from friends and family in the area.  The website has been a great way to unite the wedding industry in the Whitsundays, and showcase all the talented professionals in the region.

Tropix Photography is renowned for beautiful images of the Whitsundays over the last 3 decades and Debbie is able to put people at ease immediately and gain their trust to create natural, spontaneous images, where people really look their best. | 0411 442 217

Annie Lloyd Lewis | I Do Whitsunday Weddings

After a working life devoted to teaching, Annie was on the look-out for her next big adventure. The revelation struck like a bolt of lightning while attending her friend’s civil wedding ceremony: she knew there and then that she wanted to marry people.

Since 2008, Annie has had the joy of marrying almost one thousand couples at a variety of unique venues all across the Whitsundays.

Her initial participation on the Weddings Whitsundays Committee began shortly after the network was established.  Its motivated members were young, forward thinking; very tech savvy and she loved the energy at every meeting. When further work commitments meant she could no longer attend the meetings, Annie continued to support the one-stop-site that creates such awareness and financial benefit to our community.

Now, after her hiatus, she’s back!  Annie’s eager to work with the like-minded professionals who donate their time to promote everything to do with weddings and wedding planning, in the Whitsundays.
