Jade Korosec | Slinkylinks
Jade joined WeddingsWhitsudays.Com in 2009 whilst working as the Marketing Manager for Air Whitsunday Seaplanes. She was headhunted for her thorough understanding of web development and online marketing.
Jade was able to use this position to show many other tour and transport operators in the region how beneficial the wedding industry was for third party suppliers. It was also an avenue for Jade to form strong relationships with the primary wedding suppliers in the region, forming strong partnerships that are still in place to this day.
After starting a family Jade left her full time position with Air Whitsunday and started freelancing as the Visual Communications Manager for Villa Botanica and so continued on the committee, now representing the Whitsundays premier wedding venue.
Jade now runs her own business from home and represents the many clients who are Whitsunday wedding suppliers and continues to enjoy her position on the committee as lead Web Developer.

Born in Zimbabwe Debbie relocated to the UK in 2000 with her husband. When Debbie’s first child turned one and needed a cake to celebrate she made her first novelty cake and was hooked! Starting her own business from home her UK home based company grew very rapidly and had numerous returning clientele. Whilst in the UK she studied with Squires Kitchen International School and learnt from some of the industry best, namely Eddie Spence MBE, cake maker to the Royal Family and Paddi Clark a Sugar Flower guru.
In 2009 Debbie and her family immigrated to Australia and moved to the Whitsundays in 2011 where she started working in the industry. Obtaining a Cert III in Pastry Cooking in just 12 months set the bench mark for all future apprentices through the Brisbane based company that marked the assessments. Towards the end of 2013 she was approached by a high end wedding venue who wanted to utilise her services, so again started a home based business servicing the venue. Since then Debbie has grown in leaps and bounds and Whitsunday Baked Creations has become very well known in the Whitsundays and in the whole of Queensland placing 7th overall in the ABIA 2014 Queensland Bridal Industry Awards and making the shortlist again for 2015.

Debbie Savy was one of the founding members of WeddingsWhitsundays.Com. In 2003 Debbie and her husband Shane (who were living in Sydney) decided on a destination wedding in the Whitsundays. The following year, they relocated their family to the Whitsundays and bought Tropix Photography (the photography business that they had chosen to photograph their wedding).
It was challenging organising a wedding in the Whitsundays from out of town, they relied on a copy of the phone book and advice from friends and family in the area. The website has been a great way to unite the wedding industry in the Whitsundays, and showcase all the talented professionals in the region.
Tropix Photography is renowned for beautiful images of the Whitsundays over the last 3 decades and Debbie is able to put people at ease immediately and gain their trust to create natural, spontaneous images, where people really look their best.

Annie Lloyd Lewis | I Do Whitsunday Weddings
After a working life devoted to teaching, Annie was on the look-out for her next big adventure. The revelation struck like a bolt of lightning while attending her friend’s civil wedding ceremony: she knew there and then that she wanted to marry people.
Since 2008, Annie has had the joy of marrying almost one thousand couples at a variety of unique venues all across the Whitsundays.
Her initial participation on the Weddings Whitsundays Committee began shortly after the network was established. Its motivated members were young, forward thinking; very tech savvy and she loved the energy at every meeting. When further work commitments meant she could no longer attend the meetings, Annie continued to support the one-stop-site that creates such awareness and financial benefit to our community.
Now, after her hiatus, she’s back! Annie’s eager to work with the like-minded professionals who donate their time to promote everything to do with weddings and wedding planning, in the Whitsundays.
