Your Love Story…

We had just purchased our new home and Ritchie was showing me around the garden that evening to admire the outside of our home, the moonlight and to discuss our future garden! He then got down on one knee and I had shouted YES before he even got to ask the questions. My parents were there visiting from Melbourne and we both ran inside crying with tears of joy to tell them the news.

Destination Wedding…

The Whitsundays is our home; I was so excited to get married in this amazingly beautiful part of the world. I really wanted to support all of the local businesses and showcase to all of our family and friends how wonderful Airlie Beach is.

Wedding Week….

Majority of our guests arrived a week early to take advantage of an end of year holiday. This made it so enjoyable for us all to have that time to really catch up and connect with everyone.

My hen’s party was held on the Thursday prior to the wedding and Ritchie’s bucks party was on the same day. I was blindfolded and picked up at 9am and taken to my destination at the beautiful Abel Point Marina to board my friend’s luxury yacht with all of my mermaid tribe. We cruised out to Whitehaven beach, played games on board and really had an incredible day. On the return we finished it off with some cocktails at Hemmingway’s. The lads went out on a fishing charter and had such a laugh and success with bringing home the perfect catch. I am so thrilled that we choose to have our wedding in Airlie Beach.

Brides Vision…

The style of the wedding was boho chic, I really wanted an organic theme to blend in with the natural surroundings, as the Coral Sea is so beautiful you really don’t need to do too much. The colours were golds, fresh greenery and soft hues of champagne.

My dress was so comfortable and light for the climate, the lace bodices gave the boho feel and the fitted mermaid button tail brought in the chic. I loved my dress.

Sitdown or Cocktail…

We had a total of 60 guests with a sit down dinner.

Save Vs Splurge…

We really kept quite reasonable with sticking to the budget. My dress was exactly on budget, I splurged a little on my wedding ring but apart from that all was kept in line.

Whitsunday Wedding Venue…

We choose the coral sea for its location, the breath taking views the accommodation options and because it is located close to the main street of Airlie Beach. The service there is great, and they have done thousands of weddings so they are definitely on point.

Whitsunday Wedding Suppliers…

I was thrilled with all of my wedding suppliers they all made it really seamless and easy. I had no stress leading up to the day. The day went over perfectly you could not fault the wedding ceremony and reception.
