The Proposal

We met in 2008 through a mutual friend, Jennefer. I was 18 and he was 16. We both had separate lives and only ” knew of ” each other. When myself and Jennefer planned our joint 21st in 2011, she invited her friend, Paolo, along. We became really good friends from there and after 9 months we started dating. These timely foundations we believe are why we have such a strong solid relationship. We bought our home in 2016, got engaged in 2017 and had 2 fur babies! Our wedding was meant to be in 2020 in Vanuatu however this was changed due to Covid restrictions

Destination Wedding

We chose a destination wedding as we had always been told  that the day goes super fast. We wanted to have some time away, to celebrate our love with our nearest and dearest and it was the best thing we did! We were able to enjoy a week away in BEAUTIFUL Airlie Beach.  Doing activities together,  enjoying the company, and topping it of with the beautiful wedding.

Wedding Week

We stayed for 1 week and we did some activities after the wedding. We thought we would play it safe before the big day! After the wedding, we did Jet ski tours and a trip over to Whitehaven beach

Wedding Day Vision

We didn’t so much have a theme, we just wanted it to be very elegant as it was such an intimate wedding. Our colours were white, navy and gold.

Cocktail or Sit Down

We had 30 guests. The small number was due to my family from UK and Paolo’s family from Melbourne being unable to attend due to Covid restrictions.  We had a bit of both, it was sit down but also a bit of cocktail there too.

Honeymoon Heaven

We haven’t done a honeymoon as yet! We are waiting until we are able to travel overseas (hopefully) otherwise another trip up to Airlie Beach is on the cards. We will be doing that either way.

Hens & Bucks Nights

For the bucks, the boys went up to a Bar in Brisbane for the evening. I may have had a call to come and rescue them at 2am!

For the hens, we had a beautiful pop-up picnic with a grazing table and some games. A lot more chilled!

Splurge Vs Save

We may have added some extras, like fireworks – BUT they were absolutely well worth every cent!

Whitsunday Wedding Venues

We came up to Airlie Beach in September 2020 for my 30th and as soon as we saw the venue, the surroundings and the wedding that we watched at Coral Sea Resort, we knew our original plans were set to change! Just the vibe was exactly what we were looking for.

Supplier Shout Out

We were super happy with all of our wedding suppliers. There are so many to name, but the hair, makeup, venue, styling team, photography, cake, fireworks were all amazing and everything all came together perfectly!
