Your Love Story

We met in high school. We grew up in the same area so knew each other before we actually got together.

The Proposal

Eli proposed on our holiday to USA. We ended our trip in Hawaii and on the very last night of our holiday we were sitting out on the balcony of our hotel, watching the sunset and having a few drinks together whilst listening to our favourite songs, and he popped the question.

Honeymoon Heaven

We stayed in Airlie beach, where we had our wedding, for another week to relax and enjoy the beautiful Whitsundays.

Hens and Bucks

Eli went quad biking and played laser skirmish in the forest followed by a dinner and night out in the city.

Courtney went to a pole dancing class and on a stripper cruise on Sydney Harbour followed by a night out at the CasinoJ

Splurge vs Save

What was your wedding budget?

$30,000.

We splurged on accommodation and location, we made a short holiday of our wedding trip, we stayed up in Airlie beach for 2 weeks to relax and enjoy our time with family.

Whitsunday Wedding Venue

I loved the Whitsundays and Airlie beach was so beautiful and convenient for all our guests, it had everything we needed and felt like the tropics!

Gifting the Guests

I made personalised candle favours that doubled as name place tags.

Wedding Day Vision

Rustic, beach summer wedding with orange accents.

DIY Details

Programs, favours, Mr & Mrs sign, garland, welcome board, table setting board, signing book, bouquets, buttonholes, table numbers, wedding dance, bridesmaids skirts and belts, groomsmen hip flasks, music and invitations were all DIY.

Funniest Moment

Our wedding dance was epic! Really funny and enjoyable.

My sisters MOH speech – when she surprised me with a rap she and my Mum had written to my favourite rappers (Eminem) song “Stan”.

The bridal party entrance into the reception, we all came in to personally picked songs and did a short dance.

Photo tour, our photographer made us do some hilarious things that made all of the photos that much better.

My grand Aunty slipping over on the dance floor after a few too many bevvies, and my good friend popping the back of her dress open resulting in 3 wardrobe changes.

Remarkable Memories

Our amazing Haka performed by our guests and especially my Godson. Being given my Taonga hand carved by my cousin Rick.

A special song composed and performed especially for my husband and I by my cousin and Aunty.

The whole day was special, it was perfect in every way.

Special Thanks and Supplier Shout Outs

Our beautiful bridesmaids and handsome groomsmen.

Our amazing wedding planners who made our day unforgettable, perfect and so very stress free.

Nadine who was our photographer and Amy our videographer who captured our day so perfectly.

The awesome staff at the Whitsundays Sailing Club who worked so hard to make our day perfect, and the decorators from Events Whitsundays did an amazing job to make our venue look spectacular.

Thanks to our family and friends who travelled from afar to celebrate with us! We love each and every one of you and are so thankful that you all came to be there with us!

Bride’s Wisdom

When planning, GET A PLANNER! They made everything a breeze, it was so easy and I still got to incorporate all the little elements that I made into it. Everything was so much easier because of our amazing planners.

On the day take a few minutes to be together to look around and see what you have done and how special it is! The day goes by so fast so take a moment to see how beautiful it is to have family and friends together to support your love.

Don’t stress just relax and know that it will all turn out in the end.
