Your Love Story

We were 15 when we both met, still in high school. We had a mutual friend that introduced us.

The Proposal

It was a Sunday afternoon, we went on our usual motorbike ride around our property to check on everything. We went to the top of our hill which has an amazing view. We got off our bikes for a walk around then Brent got down on his knee and popped the question. I couldn’t stop crying and of course i said “YES”.

Honeymoon Heaven

We wanted somewhere that was going to be relaxing so we decided to go to Vanuatu for 7 nights. Was prefect as we could relax around the resort, and we love fishing so we thought Vanuatu would be a great place for fishing. We booked a game fishing charter which was so intense, but we loved it! Biggest fish we caught was about a 60kg yellow fin tuna.

The Bucks Night

Brent did a pub crawl around the CBD of Mackay. We were going to go to Airlie for the night, but we ended up cancelling as there was a cyclone lurking around and we didn’t want to take the risk of it cancelling the plans.

Splurge Vs Save

I didnt really have a budget, but I kind of knew in my head how much i wanted to spend. I dont think I splurged too much… but did save by doing some of our own DIY decor.

Whitsunday Wedding Venue

It was just perfect for us. We love property, beach, cattle and just being out side.

Wedding Day Vision

Pinterest was best friend through my wedding planning, i love boho country but elegant style, simple.

For the guests gifts, I had locally made honey from Cannonbee in jars for all my guests.

We did a few decor DIY things to save on some money.

Funniest Moment

Ohhh this is a hard one… There were sooo many funny moments at our wedding as we are all very chilled people. There was alot of pants down boys dancing in there jocks at our wedding that was pretty funny.

Remarkable Memories

The way Brent looked at me when we were getting pictures (just me and him), when i was holding my veil in the breeze.

Special Thanks

I can’t thank my Mum and Dad and Brent’s parents enough. Without them our day/night would not have been possible. Our bridal party, all my guests and all the suppliers I used.
