Your Love Story…
We were introduced by mutual friends at a night club, unfortunately our first romance was short-lived. Six years later, fate happened and we found each other again.
Hens & Bucks…
As we had a small ceremony with our parents, Jay and the Dads went fishing the day before while. Mel and the Mums enjoyed some pampering with manicures and pedicures. We all met up that night for dinner at our favourite, Walter’s Lounge.
Whitsunday Wedding Venue…
After looking at local options, as opposed to heading back to Geelong, Victoria to be closer to extended family and friends and considering many options in between, we chose to stay close and keep it simple. We were searching for options around the Whitsundays and when we were offered a ceremony at Whitehaven Beach it sounded like a dream come true.
Splurge Vs Save…
We didn’t set a budget as such, we kept it reasonable while making sure our day included everything we envisioned. Having our guests chartered via the Mabuhay and adding a videographer to capture the ceremony were splurges. We saved by having an intimate wedding and reception.
Your Wedding Day Vision…
It’s easy to be inspired by the beach when you live in paradise. We added splashes of orange tones with some vintage flair. Our invitations were sent as a message in a bottle, we echoed this and used a bottle in place of a ring pillow.
Brides Wisdom…
Remember that your day IS your day, no buts and no what ifs. It’s not about trying to please your guests, the right ones will be happy to be invited. It’s all about celebrating the love you’ve found and the beginning of what’s to come. Take it all in and enjoy what is a wonderful experience, one that will stay with you for life.

Honeymoon Heaven…
We enjoyed our ‘Mini-Moon’, staying at Coral Sea in Airlie Beach. From whale watching from the Derwent Hunter to a Sunset Cruise, stand up paddle-boarding and champagne spas, as well as tasting everything Airlie Beach has to offer we had an absolute ball. We’ll be planning a leisurely holiday abroad at a later date.
Special Thanks…
Everyone that was involved in our day was absolutely fantastic. Not only did they help us create a perfect experience, they were a part of it. We would have happily had them as wedding guests and formed some lasting friendships. A special mention to our photographer Debbie from Tropix, who is an absolute treasure!! Deb had us relaxed and laughing and completely enjoying ourselves and produced some magical images as a result. And of course we cannot thank our wedding planner Jess enough, and also Roxanne who did everything when we weren’t looking. Jess made everything so easy, with no stress and no task too difficult to undertake. We certainly could not have had our perfect wedding without her.
The whole experience was spectacular however the helicopter to and from Whitehaven Beach really stood out. We look forward to helicopter rides again one day in the future and think a flight to Heart Reef would be a fantastic way to celebrate an anniversary.
