Your Love Story
Liam and I met through friends on a night out in Terrigal NSW, it was definitely a night to remember. As soon as we met we were inseparable. I fell totally head over heels in love with Liam and I knew then he was the man I would spend the rest of my life with.
The Proposal
Liam proposed to me at a winery called Casita Miro on the beautiful island of Waiheke, NZ after being together for 6 months. It was the most magical weekend away with family and our best friends, the best surprise ever and of course I said yes.
Honeymoon Heaven
We didn’t have a honeymoon, instead we just spent the time with family and friends for a week after the wedding.
Hens and Bucks
Liam and I had a joint hens and bucks weekend at the hunter valley NSW. Our family and friends organised accommodation at a beautiful homestead, starting off the weekend with a yummy cheese board at the house the first night and winery tour the next day with our closest friends and family. We all wore shirts that had all of the funny Instagram hashtags That Liam and I have used in the past time together. Oh what a great idea the shirts were.
The tour consisted of loads of fun, drinking, dancing, and a yummy lunch. After the tour the boys had a afternoon at the local pub and us girls spent a girlie afternoon together at the homestead with a choreographed dance and a few drinks. We ended the weekend with a beautiful breakfast in the sun on the Sunday morning. I can honestly say it was the most fun we had in a weekend and a memorable time we will never forget!
Splurge Vs Save
We splurged on our whole day but it was what we wanted and we wouldn’t change a thing.
Whitsunday Wedding Venue
We choose a destination wedding because we wanted somewhere different and somewhere our family and friends could make a holiday of it as well.
Once we visited Villa Botanica we immediately fell in love and didn’t need to look anywhere else
Why not… it’s the best wedding ceremony and reception location on this planet. We fell in love with Villa Botanica the very first time we visited. We absolutely loved our experience and would do it all over again just to have the time of our lives all over again.
We stayed at Whitsundays for 10 days. We had lots of family catchups, the kids spent lots of time swimming with their cousins and friends in the pool and slides at the Big 4 and we spent lots of yummy dinners in Airlie beach. The day after our wedding we had a after party gathering at Northerlies Bar and Grill.
Wedding Day Vision
Our wedding had a tropical theme/ beach theme with lots of greenery and white throughout the ceremony and reception.
Sit Down or Cocktail?
We had 81 guests including the wedding party… we enjoyed a delicious and sophisticated 3 course meal with dessert and cake as well.
