Alana and Justin // Whitsunday Pavilion

We tried to keep to the relaxed tropical feel, but had to mix through a bit of boho. We just wanted everything to feel relaxed, the word “formal” had no place at our wedding!

Megan and Alex // Villa Botanica

We both wanted a beach and garden wedding. Villa Botanica offered both as well as a wedding coordinator to help plan everything – meaning less stress for us! Also, it’s great because all our guests had a mini holiday.

Samantha and Blake // Lure

A glittering affair set in the formal space of Airlie Beach's most luxurious function room.

Amy and Andrew // Whitehaven Beach

The hardest part was deciding where exactly to get married, as there are so many beautiful beaches in Australia. Once we had decided on the Whitsunday Islands, it was a matter of booking the flights, the seaplane, a celebrant, our photographer and arranging the accommodation and dinner for four people, basically the makings of a great holiday, it was that simple!

Alexandra and Travis // Coral Sea Resort

We chose to have a Whitsunday resort wedding at Coral Sea Resort for the convenience of being able to hold both ceremony and reception in the one venue, accommodation for our guests and also beautiful photo opportunities within the same location.

Luisa and Will // Coral Sea Resort

We wanted an outdoor beach wedding with a view and when we saw the Coral Sea Resort we knew it was exactly what we were looking for. The resort offered great wedding packages and options for both the ceremony and reception and Sharon, the resorts wedding planners was fantastic to work with.

Brittany and Jack // Peppers Airlie Beach

Brittany and Jack searched for a wedding venue for almost 2 years in Sydney and after finding all of them overpriced and uninspiring they decided to look further afield. “We wanted something relaxed and not over the top. We never planned on going to the Whitsundays and just stumbled across it one day while searching online.”

Brendan and Carly // Lure

If I’m completely honest it was Cyclone Debbie that led us to holding our wedding at Lure. Brendan and I are organised people and had booked our initial reception venue two years before our wedding.

Monica and Lyle // Marine Club

A weekend away to the Misty Mountains on the Atherton Tablelands proved to be a memorable occasion for both Lyle and Monica. After trying to ‘relax’ during his massage Lyle invited Monica out on to the scenic balcony and produced a stunning Irish Claddagh diamond ring from his robe.

Leah and Ritchie // Coral Sea Resort

The style of the wedding was boho chic, I really wanted an organic theme to blend in with the natural surroundings as the Coral Sea Resort is so beautiful you really don’t need to do too much.

Brittany and Kurt // Villa Botanica

Villa Botanica is AMAZING!! When I first laid eyes on it I just knew that was it. I was petrified to plan a destination wedding but they made is so easy. They had an online planning system and we had our very own wedding co-ordinator who made it all a breeze.

Amanda and Steve // Whitehaven Beach

The photos we looked at online were amazing, we figured we would never be able to have anywhere as beautiful where we currently live. Whitehaven Beach is so stunning.

Laura and Ashleigh // Engagement Shoot

Usually on an engagement shoot the photographer remains hidden ready to capture the moment in complete surprise. However Laura and Ash were models for Fancy Photos a year ago and so together Laura and Vanessa decided that a photo shoot to promote a new product would be the best way to disguise the proposal and capture some incredible images.
